BEACON HILL
New stores filled with sexy shoes and hip housewares have reenergized this beautiful, blue-blood neighborhood.
18. Good
Beacon Hill was settled in the 1620’s, which makes it one of the oldest hoods in Boston. But this tiny shop, located in the heart of the hill, is thoroughly modern. Owned by
Paul Niski, a former creative consultant for Gucci, Good stocks high-quality housewares with a sedate slant, like Wingard vases made from vintage Italian molds ($45 and up) and reproduction Eva Zeisel dishware (from $15). Bonus: The shops décor changes quarterly, with merchandise to match. This season, it’s all about the color indigo. Some fall, look for a lively Indian “Bollywood” theme.
