Good is a unique shop located at 88 Charles Street in the heart of Boston’s historic Beacon Hill. Opened in July 2001, Good focuses on home, accessories, art and design. It strives to find exclusive merchandise and offer its customers the very best in affordable luxuries, and features home accessories and jewelry, as well as vintage & antique objects and furniture, all fitting the personal vision of owner Paul Niski.

Niski, who has worked in the design and fashion industry for more than 25 years, founded Good with the hope of inspiring Boston with an entirely unique way of approaching design and fashion. "I want Good to be a design laboratory," says Niski of his vision. "The concept is very new for Boston: part shop, part gallery, Good will also feature exhibitions that will include subjects and objects that are of personal interest."

Good also reinvents itself every few months to stay fresh and innovative. By changing the merchandise available, Niski intends to always keep Good on the cutting edge. The unique merchandise mix is a product of Niski’s desires to integrate nature and industry, old and new, high and low... contrasts that compliment home fashion.

Niski moved to Boston from New York in 1999. The charms of Boston quickly grew on him, and he decided to follow his dream of creating an innovative and evolving home store.

“I came to Beacon Hill for a reason," explains Niski. "it’s a real neighborhood, peaceful and intimate, a perfect environment for Good. People come into the store and just become engaged in it. They form a relationship with the merchandise, and the store, because we’re offering ideas and products that can transform a space, make it more personal and luxurious."
